Caitlin Alvarez

The Fantasticks 2022 [Luisa]

(They/Them) is a Southeast Asian multidisciplinary artist and activist based in Philadelphia. They received their BA in Theatre from Rowan University in the Spring of 2021. They also attended the National Theatre Institute in the Fall of 2020. During their time at Rowan, Caitlin devised and directed two pieces focused on sexual assault awareness; 00:00:73 (Feb 2020) and One in Five (April 2021). Caitlin was welcomed back to Rowan in the Spring of 2022 as guest director for their production of 21 Chump Street, and earned the National Merit Certificate for Direction from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Recent performance credits include Into The Woods (Barrington Stage Company), Circle Mirror Transformation (Eagle Theatre), Folk Tales In The Glen (People’s Light), Alice: Not Your Child’s Wonderland (EgoPo Classic Theater).

Elliot Colahan

The Exit Interview 2023 [Priest/Ensemble]

(He/Him) is delighted to be making his Masquerade Theatre debut! He is currently a Senior Theatre Major at Rowan University, where he is studying Acting, Musical Theatre, Directing, and Theatre Education. Recent performance credits include: Peter and the Starcatcher (Ted) at the Ritz Theatre Company and The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer (J. Robert Oppenheimer) with Rowan Lab Theatre. Melancholy Play 2023 [TILLY]

(They/She) is a small, flightless bird. They hatched only a handful of days ago. They seem to enjoy music - but who knows what will stick as they continue to grow. Max has expressed interest in beauty, and in mathematics, and in friendships, and in silence. She is,,, learning. She is grateful.

 
 

Evan Harris

The Exit INterview 2023 [Walter/Ensemble]

Evan is absolutely psyched to be making his debut with Masquerade Theatre! Evan is usually acting without a script with his improv comedy troupe: The Hotspurs! Returning to scripted material has been just as exciting as he remembered. Previous credits include Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening (Burlington County Footlighters), Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Voorhees Theatre Company), and Mark Cohen in RENT (Rowan College at Burlington County). Tim Herman

The Fantasticks 2022 [Hucklebee]

Tim Herman is very excited to be making his Masquerade debut with this show. Born and raised in Cinnaminson, Tim spent the last few decades living in California and NYC teaching Theatre at various Universities and most recently, teaching 1-5 graders in NYC. He is also an audition coach and has had many clients appear on Broadway and Nat’l Tours. He’d be happy to name-drop for you after the show. Favorite credits include Sparky in “Forever Plaid”, Fred/Petruchio in “Kiss Me, Kate”, Malvolio in “Twelfth Night”, Mike in “Oil City Symphony” and Harold in “The Boys in the Band”. Tim also spent 6 summers appearing in the “The Lost Colony” (Terrance Mann, director) on the Outer Banks of N.C.. His directing credits include: “Batboy; the Musical”, “The Cider House Rules, Part 1”, and “The Fantasticks”. He attended Montclair State University and Florida State University and is proud to say he saw The Fantasticks a few times during its original, record breaking run in NYC. Thank you, Megan. Dawn McCall

Melancholy Play 2023 [FRANK]

(They/Them) is a sophomore theatre major at Rowan University. This past summer, they had their professional debut in EgoPo’s Curse of the Starving Class, and starred in a reading of Brie Knight’s The Pigeon at PlayPenn. Recently, they've performed in The Ways of White Folks at EgoPo, as well as Equus for Rowan as Alan. They also have a deep love for writing, a growing passion for dance and movement, and they thank Caitlin and everyone involved for allowing them this opportunity!

 
 

Aidan McDonald

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) 2023 | The Fantasticks 2022 [Matt]

(He/Him) is a multifaceted artist based in Philadelphia. He holds a BA in Theatre from Rowan University. He also attended the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. He regularly coaches Camden Catholic High School’s Shakespeare Troupe. Previous credits with Masquerade include The Fantasticks and One Fifty Four. (She/Her) is excited to portray the melancholic feelings of the show through puppetry. Other shows that she has performed in are Urinetown as Little Sally, The Addams Family as Wednesday, and Ragnaruckus as Fenrir, Freya and Brokk. She welcomes you into the almond of pure melancholy.

Jen Ponton

Exit Interview 2023 [Mrs. Meredith/Ensemble] | The Fantasticks 2022 [Mortimer]

Jen Ponton returns to Masquerade after joining her college friends, Megan and Tommy, for THE FANTASTICKS. Her performances with Masquerade ushered in a return to the theater after she last performed off-Broadway at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and she has since made a career in film and television. Also a writer/producer, Jen just released her interactive horror experience CARETAKER on TikTok/Instagram/YouTube Shorts @caretakerfilm. Later this year, catch her on Starz in the upcoming series THREE WOMEN.

(He/Him) is a junior Theatre major at Rowan University, with concentrations in Acting and Pre-Teaching, and a minor in Political Science. Previous credits include Billy Theebles (A Feminine Ending), Ted Sunderson (Perfect Arrangement), Male Greek Chorus (How I Learned to Drive) and Balthazar (Our Lady of 121st Street).

 
 

Asia Jenine Todd

Melancholy Play 2023 [FRANCES]

(She/Her) is a senior at Rowan University double majoring in theater arts and radio, television, and film. Her recent acting credits include being the lead (and only) actress in the one-woman show The Penny Executive: the Maggie Lena Walker Story, Mama in Ways of White Folk, Narrator in 21 Chump Street, and Rachel Powell in Plum Bun. She is so grateful to Caitlin and the crew of Melancholy Play for giving her the chance to explore the role of Frances. She hopes that everyone who comes to see the show enjoys the show and all of the hard work that was put into it! 

 
 

Sara Viniar

The Exit Interview 2023 [Mary/Ensemble]

Sara is so excited to finally be joining Masquerade in an onstage role! Sara received her BA in Theatre Arts from Arcadia University and she enjoys both spending her time on-stage Acting and behind-the-scenes as a Stage Manager in the Greater Philadelphia region. Some previous favorite on-stage roles include: tick, tick...boom! (Susan), The Glass Menagerie (Laura), The Diary of Anne Frank (Anne), and Legally Blonde (Kate/Chutney). Thanks to the cast and crew for welcoming her and all of their incredible work on this production.

Marissa is thrilled to be working at Masquerade Theatre with such a funny and talented group of people. She is an Adjunct Professor of Theatre at Kean University, a tutor for small tots, and a lover of cats and her favorite guy, Kevin.
